What’s for dinner, Bacon Cesar Salad

We love a good Cesar salad, but sometimes we want a little more. So what did we do, we added bacon! And just like that it went from an appetizer to the main dish. This just happens to be a low carb, paleo dish, if you’re into that.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tbsps Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Anchovy Paste
  • 1/2 fl oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic
  • 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Tabasco Sauce
  • 7 tbsps Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
  •  Romaine Lettuce
  • Spinach leaves
  • 5 strips bacon
  • 1 cup walnuts

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble
  2. To make the dressing: in a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, anchovy paste, lemon juice, oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, mustard, salt, pepper and a splash of Tabasco until smooth. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the cheese.
  3. Toss lettuce, spinach, and walnuts with dressing until evenly coated.
  4. Add bacon and serve

  1. Yum caesar is my fav salad but i have never actually made the dressing myself! I bet it’s better :))

  2. It’s amazing, and you can adjust the ingredients to your liking. Plus it’s safe for pregnant ladies because there’s no anchovies.
