What’s more important than working on your fitness, Nothing! Well except your relationship with your significant other. My relationship with my wife is the most important thing in my life, and I make an earnest attempt everyday to make it my #1. Keyword there being “attempt”.
Why? Because if I lost my wife due to spending all my time in the gym to become the next Froning, or at work to make a slightly larger paycheck then it would all be in vain. This way of thinking isn’t universal and many people are super goal oriented and gladly put their relationships on the back burner to achieve them. And you know that is okay if that’s what you want to do.
I have life goals as well but my absolute #1 is my marriage. My big goal in this crazy world is to have as many adventures and create as many stories with my wife as possible. This brings me to my upcoming blog series, “Date Night Ideas”. I want to provide relationship building ideas, fun date night tips and get input from you guys on things that helped your relationships. My aim is to put something out there that a much younger me could have used.
My marriage is a lot like my Crossfit career. It’s new and imperfect, but I work on it every day in an attempt to make it as great as possible.
Coming soon this week. Christmas Eve Date Night. I’ll share how our night went and what we did. I can’t reveal my plans yet for obvious reasons, but if you’re looking for ideas to steal, these can be used any time of the year.
If you’re looking for some fun date night ideas from a real, certified, romantical ninja, then be sure to subscribe.
Thank you for proving romance lives. I will happily put your blog posts in front of my husband of 30 years. You are correct in saying that a marriage has to be worked at but it is worth it.
